2: Always use a stable build of minecraft

3: Always turn experimental mode ON whenever you attach your newly made world with the addon. turn on all the features, and hope for the best.

you can now choose 6 versions. 0.7.. 0.8.. 0.9.. 1.0 Rough.. 1.X Launch (Complete).. 1.1.. whatever suits you.
